Q&A with Owner of Haus Of Hof Hair

Haus Of Hof Hair, located on the iconic Caxton Street, Paddington is a boutique hair salon styling inner city Brisbane fashionistas since opening it’s doors mid 2019.
The owner Eric Hofmeister, an award winning stylish and colourist sits down with us for a glass of bubbly and a Q&A

Q: So Eric, tell us about you, what business do you run and how long have been doing it for?
A: I have been a hairdresser for 14 years and have experienced all different facets of my industry. I now have my very own salon in Paddington, 149 Caxton St to be precise. I treat my salon similar to the way Dolly Parton’s character in Steel Magnolias, “Trudy” would. Humble, Glamorous and celebrating your most authentic self. My goal for every guest is to feel confident and proud after every visit. I push myself to continually evolve and focus on the bigger picture. My goal for 2020 is to start new traditions, work further in the world of fashion and create more inspiring content to help others.

Q: So Eric how did we meet?
A: We met one very lucky day when I got the honor of looking after your hair. From that moment on we created some of the most memorable moments in my life together. I remember when you taught me how to horse ride for my wedding day sending you into a flurry of tears on the day. Working with you on photoshoots having an absolute blast in the fields, like a haven where art is created.

Q: What attracted to you Sunday Cowgirl?
A: She represents the glamour of country fashion. I think after seeing how Lady Gaga rocked country styling in “A Star Is Born” and then seeing Sunday Cowgirl come to life, I was like a moth to the flame. I love taking my overnighter to fashion events where I can hold all my tools for styling and people become obsessed with my bag.

Q: How do we work together on Sunday Cowgirl?
A: Our photoshoots together have been such an awesome experience. It never feels like work when we are in the most stunning of landscapes. I create rustic signature hair on set for our shoots and help out as 2nd photographer. It really is the best especially when that Sunday sunset drops.

Q: Can you give our readers some advice on starting a business or collaborating with others?
A: The best lesson I have learned in business is to surround yourself with people that lift you up and can dream with you. Dreams can start out in a garage drinking Prosecco and then lead to a grand opening party. The most important part is the people who are with you to the end. Sunday Cowgirl & Haus Of Hof collaborations have always been special in the way that we celebrate individuality and confidence.  Find your tribe it will change your life.
